Belle petite monnaie sur un flan un peu court, avec des types centrés. Patine sombre et granuleuse sur les reliefs avec des champs ayant conservé leur pellicule d’or

Commentary

Cette monnaie appartient à la série 1106 du Nouvel Atlas “Quarts en or tardifs sans unité-statère” et plus précisément au Type II “au triangle”.
Ce type de tête correspond exactement à celui du DT. 3478 qui était considéré comme inédit lors de sa parution dans le Nouvel Atlas. Le métal de notre exemplaire semble bien plus pauvrement allié, à moins qu’il s’agisse d’une monnaie fourrée (?).
