Comme toujours frappé sur un flan trop court, mais très épais. Belle patine noire brillante, et pas du tout poreuse, comme c'est souvent le cas

The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC).
