Commentary
Cet exemplaire, illustrant la classe Ig3, est particulier tant pour son droit (avec une coiffure qui semble inédite sur cette série de potins) que pour son revers avec un sanglier dont il est difficile de déterminer le sens.

The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC).
