Coments on the condition:
Bronze sur un flan un peu court, avec des types relativement complets. Usure marquée mais homogène, avec une faiblesse de frappe sir le lion. Patine sombre et homogène

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Obverse description : Tête masculine à droite, de stytle ibérique, une massue derrière la nuque (?).
Reverse
Reverse description : Lion bondissant à droite ; légende en deux lignes à l’exergue.
Reverse legend : KAIANTOLO / BASIL.
Commentary
Cette série dite des rois gaulois est très rare ; nous n’avons déjà proposé un bronze KAIANTOLO au sanglier (MONNAIES 36, n° 1202) et un au lion (bga_305796). Avec le lion bondissant à droite, ce bronze correspond au LT. 2416.

This people who occupied most of the departments of Aude and Hérault is mentioned neither by Ptolemy, nor by Strabo, nor by Caesar. Their coinage is known to us only by the treasures of Béziers (Hérault) discovered in 1871 and which contained between 750 and 800 coins of Languedoc style as well as that of Moussan in the Aude, discovered in 1967 and which contained 28 drachmas of style " Languedocian".
