Exemplaire sur un petit flan irrégulier, légèrement bombé, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait de Poséidon, légèrement stylisé. Usure superficielle au revers, bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets mordorés

Commentary

Portrait tout à fait exceptionnel et inhabituel pour cette rarissime dénomination monétaire. Même coin de droit que l’exemplaire décrit dans l’ouvrage de H. Gaebler (AMNG. 3, p. 187, n° 5, pl. XXXIII, n° 26). I. L. Merker faisait remarquer dans MN. IX, loc. cit. p. 45 que les drachmes ont bien été frappées par Antigone Gonatas.
