Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Obverse description : Bouclier macédonien orné d'une tête de Persée tournée à gauche ; le Héros est coiffé d'un casque ailé surmonté d'un protomé de griffon ; harpon placé derrière ; la bordure extérieure du bouclier est formé de sept motifs formés d’un astre à huit rais centré d’un globule dans une double demi-cercle rappelant un croissant de lune (emblème luni solaire).

Reverse description : Légende encadrant une massue ; le tout dans une couronne de chêne .

Commentary

Au droit, sur le bouclier macédonien, le buste de Persée est entouré d’une frise de sept motifs formé à partir d’une combinaison luni-solaire associant un double croissant de lune superposé et d’un astre solaire avec huit rais centré d’un globule.
