Coments on the condition:

Triens sur un flan large et ovale, avec une frappe un peu molle au droit et assez nette au revers. Flan d’aspect hétérogène avec des défauts de préparation du flan

Obverse description : Tête diadémée à droite, un gros manteau orné ; légende autour.

Reverse description : Croix latine soudée sur un degré et fichée sur un globe, accosté des lettres M et A, dans un grènetis ; légende autour avec un motif de fleuron à midi.

Commentary

Ce triens est très proche du B. 6268 (repris des dessins de Barthelemy) classé à MATISCO pour le monétaire IVSE. Ce même monétaire est repris pour MATASCO (Mâcon, Saône-et-Loire) avec les triens B. 2773-2780, dont aucun n’a le même style de tête que sur le B. 6268, ni le même motif à midi au revers. Ces deux ateliers, probablement distingués par erreur dans le Belfort, sont à regrouper.
