Exemplaire sur un flan large bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait de Magnus Maximus. Joli revers de style fin. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Magnus Maximus à droite vu de trois quarts en avant (A'a) ; diadème perlé.

Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Magnus Maximus Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Magnus Maximus pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse

Reverse legend : VIRTVS RO-MANORVM/ -|-// TRPS.

Reverse description : Rome casquée et drapée, trônant de face, tenant un globe de la main droite et un sceptre de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Virtus Romanorum”, (La virilité des Romains).

Commentary

Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Diadème perlé terminé par un cabochon rond. Fibule d’attache ronde et gemmée avec pendant bouleté. Ptéryges fines sous le paludamentum.
