Commentary

Jean de La Vallette Parisot, sixième Grand Maître de l'Ordre des Chevaliers de Malte le 21 août 1557. Il fonda la ville qui porte son nom en 1566. Pendant son magistère, il eut à lutter contre l'invasion turque qui fut repoussée. Il mourut en 1568.
