Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait de Marius. Joli revers avec une Victoire en mouvement. Belle patine gris foncé avec des reflets dorés

Commentary


Avec l’intégralité de son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges à peine visibles sous la cuirasse. Au revers, la Victoire est en mouvement.

It seems that Marius rebels against Postum at the end of his reign. Lélien and Postume assassinated, Marius remains alone in place. Marius is in turn quickly assassinated after a short reign, nevertheless longer than the erroneous interpretation of Augustan History (two days).
