Historical background

MINUTIA

(135 BC)

The Minucia gens is a family of patrician and plebeian origin. The cognomen Augurinus is moreover more associated with the patricians whereas the cognomen Rufus is especially for the members of plebeian origin. Caius Minucius Augurinus and Tiberius Minucius Augurinus seem to have been brothers and are respectively triumvir monetalis in 135 AC and 134 AC.
