Ce thaler est frappé sur un flan large et régulier. Le droit a été frappé avec un carré présentant une cassure à 5 heures. au droit. Patine grise. Petite fente sur la tranche à 6 heures au droit

Commentary

Jean-Paul Divo dans son ouvrage consacré aux monnaies des princes-abbés de Murbach et Lure (1544-1667) indique que ce thaler au millésime 1562 est très rare (RR). Ces thalers ont été frappés dans l’atelier de Saint-Amarin, ouvert en 1544 et qui frappa monnaies jusque vers 1581.
