Flan très large, écrasé au droit, mais le portrait reste visible. Au revers, le sujet est pratiquement complet, mais écrasé (s’agirait-il d’une monnaie sacrifiée ou votive ?)

Commentary

Cet exemplaire semble appartenir à la phase finale du monnayage namnète. La couleur est beaucoup plus claire et semble contenir moins d’or et plus d’argent. L’appellation à l’hippophore vient du personnage qui est placé sous le cheval au revers (mot à mot celui qui porte le cheval où hippos se traduit par cheval et phoros par qui porte, en grec).
