NAPOLEON IV

(1856-1879)

Napoleon, the son of Emperor Napoleon III and Eugénie de Montijo, was born on March 16, 1856. In 1870, he followed his mother into exile in England. When his father died in 1873, he became the head of the imperial family. He followed an English military training and participated in the Zululand campaign where he died on June 1, 1879.
