Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait de Nerva. Joli revers de style fin, de haut relief bien venu à la frappe. Patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

NERVA

The reign of Nerva, born in 32, is a period of transition. It traditionally marks the end of the Twelve Caesars of Suetonius and makes the junction with the Antonine dynasty or co-opted emperors. Nerva was consul in 71 then in 90 and took his third consulship in 97. Aged, Nerva joined Trajan by adopting him. The latter succeeded him in January 98.
