Obverse description : Tête à gauche de type vaguement négroïde, le nez allongé ; la chevelure en une série de lignes ; volutes bouletées derrière la nuque.

Reverse description : Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons ornés chacun d'une lunule, un annelet au 3e canton.
Commentary
Monnaie de la plus grande rareté, absent notamment du Savès. E. Hiriart n’en recensequ’un seul exemplaire dans son ouvrage (BnF 3414a, 0,44g). C’est la première fois que nous en présentons un exemplaire à la vente !.

The territory of Nitiobroges corresponds to the current territory of the department of Lot et Garonne (47). Several discoveries of treasures have taken place in this department: in Boé, Aiguillon, Montastruc and Moncrabeau. These "drachmas" by their typology and their metrology resemble more the coinage of western Gaul than the Aquitaine coinage. The weight is closer to the denarius system than to the drachma system. The typology is close to Santones or Lemovices.
