ORANGE - PRINCIPALITY OF ORANGE - WILLIAM II OF NASSAU

(1647-1650)

William II (1626-1650), Frederick Henry's son, married Mary (1631-1660), daughter of Charles I of England in 1641. William II succeeded his father as Stadtholder of the Netherlands and Prince of Orange in 1647. He died in 1650. His posthumous son, born in 1650, was Prince of Orange at birth.
