Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, particulièrement bien centré. Très joli droit laissant apparaître la musculature des deux lutteurs. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés et bleutés irisés au droit

PAMPHYLIA - ASPENDOS

(5th - 4th century BC)

Aspendos, located 12 kilometers from the top of the Eurymedon, was a great economic place and had a large port on the coast. Aspendos remained loyal to the Persians until the arrival of Alexander the Great and resisted him before being taken in 333 BC. Aspendos belonged to the kingdom of Pergamum between 189 and 133 BC.
