Obverse description : Tête de Junon Sospita à droite, coiffée de la dépouille de chèvre ; derrière, une plume recourbée ; le tout entouré de la stemma.

Reverse legend : L. PAPI À L’EXERGUE.
Reverse description : Griffon bondissant à droite ; au-dessous, une plume de paon ; le tout entouré de la stemma.
Reverse translation : “Lucius Papius” (Lucius Papius).

Commentary


À chaque symbole de droit est associé un symbole au revers. Le revers a inspiré le bronze Pixtilos au griffon (LT. 7078). Le droit se retrouve sur des imitations de deniers de la République (LT. 10103 = BN 10103-10104 et KO. 1015).
