Coments on the condition:
Monnaie frappée sur un petit flan épais, avec un droit un peu confus et un revers bien centré. Patine grise avec les reliefs légèrement brossés et une patine plus sombre dans les creux

Cette drachme provient de la collection de Georges Savès ; selon l’étiquette qui l’accompagnait, cette monnaie pourrait provenir du trésor de Dordogne

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Obverse description : Tête masculine à gauche ; avec une oreille ; menton saillant et mâchoire carrée ; cou avec double collier.
Reverse
Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Croix formée de quatre cantons ; un annelet pointé au 1er canton, un besant au 2e, une hache à gauche au manche trois fois bouleté au sommet au 3e et une rouelle ornée au 4e canton.
Commentary
Pour illustrer ce type dans son ouvrage, G. Savès a eu recours à la monnaie BN. 3368. Bien que classée en R (“rare ou assez rare”) cette drachme est la seule de la collection Savès.
