Flan régulier. Patine de collection au droit et au revers. Petites taches d'oxydation superficielle sur la croix et à 1 heure. Faiblesse de frappe sur la légende à 7 heures, sinon haut relief

The Soissonnais was a hereditary stronghold of the House of Vermandois. In the 12th century, the county passed into the house of Nesle. Yves de Nesle (1141-1178) chose his nephew Conon de Nesle (1175/6-1180) to succeed him. Raoul de Nesle succeeded his brother Conon who died in 1180 without posterity. Raoul's reign was one of the longest in the county of Soissons, 55 years.
