Il est très plausible que cet exemplaire fut l’un des premiers frappés et ait servi à confirmer la validité des coins et flans. Malheureusement, il est rigoureusement identique, sauf son pedigree, au million d’autres exemplaires.

Tahiti was visited for the first time in 1842. The Marquesas, Touamotou, Société, Gambier, Australs and Wallis and Futuna formed French Oceania or the French Establishments of Oceania, which became an overseas territory in 1946. Following the decree from March 1957, French Oceania becomes French Polynesia.
