João Vaz Corte-Real (c.1420-1496) est un navigateur et explorateur portugais qui reconnut les côtes du Nord-Est de l’Amérique de l’Hudson au Saint-Laurent. Il découvrit une terre dite de Corte-Real qui pourrait être l’actuelle Terre-Neuve.
