PROVENCE - COUNTY OF PROVENCE - ALFONSO I OF ARAGON AND RAYMOND DE BOLLÈNE, ARCHBISHOP OF ARLES

(1166-1183)

In 1177, Raymond Béranger, brother of Alphonse and count of Provence, created with the bishop of Arles a coin of pariage, called royal with the mitre. This coin was minted until 1185. In 1186, Alphonse I had the Mint transported to Marseille.
