Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large, légèrement irrégulier et voilé. La croix du droit apparaît légèrement en négatif au revers. Exemplaire recouvert d’une légère patine grise

ROMORANTIN - COUNTY OF ROMORANTIN - THIBAUT VI
(1205-1218)
The county of Romorantin already belonged to Blésois at the beginning of the 13th century, since the lord of Saint-Aignan, who held Romorantin, depended on Louis de Blois (Legros, p. 417). Coinage seems to have started around 1120-1125 with anonymous coins inspired by Chartres; around 1205, or shortly after, the coins take on a T, the initial of Thibaut who was the only Count of Romorantin to sign his coinage.
