ROMANIA - FERDINAND I

(11/10/1914-20/07/1927)

Ferdinand I was of German origin and the childless nephew of Charles I, of whom he became the heir in 1889. Ascended to the throne in 1914, he accepted Romania's entry into the war alongside the Allies. He was succeeded by his grandson, Michel.
