Eugène de Savoie-Carignan, connu comme le prince Eugène (1663-1736) est un officier au service de la monarchie autrichienne, devenu commandant en chef des armées du Saint-Empire romain germanique. Il est considéré comme un des plus grands généraux de son époque. (cf. wikipedia).
