Exemplaire sur un flan très large, complet des deux côtés avec les listels visibles. Très joli revers. Une patine grise recouvre l’exemplaire

Obverse description : Buste radié et drapé de Salonin à droite, vu de trois quarts en arrière (A2).
Obverse translation : “Licinius Cornelius Saloninus Valerianus Nobilissimus Cæsar”, (Licinius Cornélius Salonin Valérien très noble césar).

Reverse legend : PIETAS AVGG.
Reverse description : Instruments pontificaux : bâton d'augure “lituus”, couteau à sacrifice, patère, vase à sacrifice, simpulum et aspersoir.

Caesar
Salonin was raised to the cesarat after the death of his brother, Valérien II. Sent to Gaul, under the protection of Postumus then simple general, he was proclaimed august after the capture of Valerian I in June or July 260. Postumus, proclaimed august in his turn, besieged Salonin and had him put to death.
