Reverse description : Salonin, vêtu militairement debout à gauche, tenant un bâton de la main droite et une haste transversale de la main gauche ; devant un trophée d’armes avec un captif de chaque côté assis dos à dos.
Reverse translation : "Principi Iuventutis" (Au prince de la jeunesse).

Caesar

Salonin was raised to the cesarat after the death of his brother, Valérien II. Sent to Gaul, under the protection of Postumus then simple general, he was proclaimed august after the capture of Valerian I in June or July 260. Postumus, proclaimed august in his turn, besieged Salonin and had him put to death.
