(459-484)

Peroz I is one of the sons of Yadzgard II (438-457). He succeeded his brother Hormazd III (457-459) defeated and eliminated. He spent much of his reign fighting against the Hephthalite Huns. He was taken prisoner and unable to pay his ransom had to leave his son hostage. The kingdom experienced many troubles and a famine during his reign which lasted seven years. He found death fighting the Huns again. It was his brother Valkash (484-488) who succeeded him.
