Droit et revers homogène et assez détaillés. Patine sombre et lisse

Obverse description : Tête à gauche, le cou massif et la chevelure en trois ou quatre mèches remontantes.
Reverse
Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Cheval très fin et stylisé à droite ; la queue relevée au-dessus de la croupe ; un trait horizontal joint le sabot avant et arrière.
Commentary
Pour ce type de potin attribué aux Helvètes ou aux Eduens, cet exemplaire a la particularité d’avoir un cheval avec une crinière marquée. Au droit, le cou se confond avec le penon de coulée.

These two peoples were neighbors and a certain number of coins, particularly staters and quarter staters of electrum from the first century BC, are simultaneously attributed to them. The coin found in Avenches (east of Lake Neuchâtel), of a so-called sequana coinage, illustrates this phenomenon. Gossip of the La Tène type also belongs to this group!.
