Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un petit flan bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très belle tête de la Fortune. Revers finement détaillé. Magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés. Conserve l’intégralité de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Commentary

Petite contremarque de changeur en creux au droit (O) devant le nez. Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de 129 coins de droit et de 143 coins de revers. Ce denier est frappé dans un atelier itinérant accompagnant Pompée. Il semble plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.
