SUÈDE - GUSTAV II ADOLF OF SWEDEN ERFURT

(1594-1632)

Gustave II Adolphe (1611-1632), King of Sweden, became from 1629 the ally of France and the Protestant Princes in the Thirty Years War. He won the Battle of Breitenfeld but died at Lutzen the following year. Erfurt was under Swedish rule from 1631 to 1648.
