Reverse description : Représentation de trois figures féminines en robe, tenant chacune des boucliers et épées pour celle de droite et gauche, portant une cuirasse à la croix suisse pour l’allégorie féminine centrale (de la Suisse). Signé : E. DURUSSEL.

Commentary

Saint Nicolas de Flüe, en allemand : Niklaus von Flüe, né en 1417N 1 à Sachseln et mort le 21 mars 1487 dans cette même localité est un ascète suisse qui est le saint patron de la Suisse.
