Exemplaire sur un flan large bien centré des deux côtés. Magnifique buste de Tyché au droit. Frappe un peu brouillée au revers de style fin. Belle patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés

Laodicea, founded by Seleucus I in memory of his mother, was the outer port of Antioch. Laodicea was declared a free city in 109/108 BC. In 82, it rose up against the Armenian domination of Tigranes. The new autonomous coinage of the city did not begin before 82/81 BC This type was minted until 49/48 and the arrival of Caesar in Syria. The coinage was then numbered from the following year and lasted until 17/16 BC, under Augustus, thus adopting the new Caesarean era..
