(1136-1149)

Antioch was the first large city to fall into the hands of the Crusaders in 1098. Bohémond de Tarente and Robert Guiscard, from the Normans, constituted themselves a first principality. Raymond II of Poitiers, Prince of Antioch, was killed in 1149 at the end of the Second Crusade.
