Tetricus I was governor of Aquitaine before his accession. After three years of reign, he was finally defeated by Aurelian near Châlons-sur-Marne in 274. Presented in the triumph of the latter, in Rome, the new emperor granted him his pardon, brought him into the Senate and appointed him governor. from Lucania.
