Obverse description : Buste diadémé, casqué et cuirassé de Théodose II de face, tenant de la main droite la haste qui repose sur l'épaule et de la gauche, un bouclier orné d'un cavalier chargeant à droite (N'a).
Obverse translation : (Notre seigneur Théodose pieux et heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : VOT XXX MVLT XXXX B// -|*//CONOB.
Reverse description : Constantinople assise à gauche, casquée et drapée, les jambes croisées, le pied droit posé sur une proue de navire, tenant de la main droite un globe crucigère et de la main gauche un sceptre ; derrière, un bouclier.
