Obverse description : Buste diadémé, casqué et cuirassé de face, tenant de la main droite la haste qui repose sur l'épaule et de la gauche, un bouclier orné d'un cavalier chargeant à droite (N’a).
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Theodosius Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Théodose pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse description : Constantinople assise de face, tournée à droite, casquée et drapée, tenant un globe nicéphore de la main gauche et un sceptre long de la main droite, le pied gauche posé sur une proue de navire.
