Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale et irrégulier, légèrement échancré. Belle tête d’Athéna à l’usure régulière. Joli revers bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine gris foncé de collection ancienne

Sur notre exemplaire, la tête d’Athéna est encore archaïsante. Mêmes coins que l’exemplaire de la collection BCD (n° 633).

Pharsalus is one of the most famous cities of Thessaly because of Caesar's victory over Pompey in 48 BC. The city was built on the slopes of Mount Narthakios on the banks of the Enipeus at forty kilometers from Larissa.
