Historical background

TREBANIA

(135 BC)

In 135 BC, the ordinary consuls were Servius Fulvius Flaccus and Quintus Calpurnius Piso. That year, Sicily was shaken by a slave revolt led by Eunus and Cleon which lasted three years. Its repression will mobilize significant resources. The praetor Lucius Hypsaeus is defeated by the mutineers.
