Commentary

Alexandre Yersin (1863-1943) est un médecin, bactériologiste et explorateur franco-suisse. Devenu médecin en 1888, disciple de Pasteur, il embarque dans les Messageries maritimes en 1890 et découvre l’Indochine française. Il découvre la bacille de la peste lorsqu’il est à Hong Kong en 1894.
