Frappe au nom d’Ali III Bey, bey de Tunis de 1882 à 1902. Il s’agit de la seule année de frappe pour la 2 Centimes dont les caractéristiques techniques sont similaires à la 2 Centimes Cérès.

The French protectorate of Tunisia was established by the Treaty of Bardo of May 12, 1881.
