Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés avec une usure très importante, mais lisible et identifiable. Patine noire granuleuse

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Valentinien Ier à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A'a) ; diadème perlé.

Reverse description : L'empereur debout de face, la tête tourné à droite, diadémé, vêtu militairement, tenant un étendard de la main droite et un globe nicéphore de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Restitutor Rei Publicæ”, (Le restaurateur du bien public).

Commentary

Poids très léger. Exemplaire fortement ébréché. Rubans trifide de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Diadème terminé par un cabochon gemmé. Fibule d’attache. Ptéryges fines. Frappe légèrement tréflée au revers.
