Reverse description : Valentinien debout de face tourné à gauche, la tête à droite, tenant le labarum chrismé de la main droite et le globe nicéphore de la main gauche.

Valentinian, proclaimed on February 25, 364, joined his brother Valens on August 24 of the same year. They share the Empire, Valentinian reserving the West. In 367, the Emperor named Augustus his son Gratian. Valentinian died on November 17, 375, leaving the West in great danger.
