Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés, irrégulier et légèrement échancré à 6 et à 8 heures. Très beau portrait. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Jolie patine vert olive clair

Reverse description : L'empereur debout à gauche, vêtu militairement, surmonté d'une étoile, tenant dans chaque main un labarum chrismé.

Reverse translation : “Concordia Militum”, (La Concorde des soldats).

Commentary

Le fait que Vétranion soit lauré, alors que Constance II est diadémé, semblerait confirmer une subordination du premier au second. Après le 25 décembre 350 et son abdication, Vétranion rentra dans la vie privée.
