Monnaie frappée sur un flan scyphate, large et ovale. Faiblesse de frappe sur l'ensemble du droit, et sur la partie basse du revers. Eclatement de métal sur la tranche

Commentary
Le portrait est déjà rare sur ce monnayage, mais nous n’avons retrouvé aucun exemplaire comparable à celui-ci, avec des vestiges de légende (?) au revers.

The Vindelicians were considered to be a people of Celtic origin. They possibly controlled the headwaters of the Rhine and the region of Lake Constance and the Inn valley. Their neighbors were the Helvetii and the Boii. Their main oppidum was Brigantion (Bregenz). They were submitted only by Tiberius during the campaign of 15 BC. Strabo (IV. 3, 6; VII, 1, 5); Pliny (HN. III, 133); Tacitus (An. II, 17); Ptolemy (G. II, 12). Kruta: 69.
