Coments on the condition:

Exemplaire sur un ovale et irrégulier, court sur la légende de droit. Très belle tête d’Aélius avec une faiblesse de frappe sur une partie de la légende. Revers inhabituel bien venu à la frappe à l’usure régulière. Jolie patine verte

Obverse translation : “Lucius Ælius Cæsar”, (Lucius Aélius césar).

Reverse description : Pannonia (la Pannonie) debout de face, tournée à gauche, drapée, tenant un vexillum de la main droite et relevant un pan de sa robe de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Tribunicia Potestate Consul iterum/ Pannonia”, (Revêtu de la puissance tribunitienne consul pour la seconde fois/ La Pannonie).

Commentary

Pour Aélius, nous ne pouvons pas distinguer les dupondius des as car le César est toujours tête nue. Cependant d’après le poids et le module, nous pouvons imaginer que notre exemplaire est bien un dupondius (13,09 g) plutôt qu’un as.
