Magnifique portrait juvénile de Caracalla. Très belle patine vert jade clair. Revers parfaitement centré, de haut relief et de style fin

Caesar
Caracalla was born on April 4, 188 in Lyons. He is the eldest son of Septimius Severus and Julia Domna. On May 27, 196, he was made a Caesar by his father, who had broken with Clodius Albinus. After the defeat of Albin near Lyon, on February 19, 197, he received the titles of prince of youth and pontiff. Caracalla was named Augustus in April 198 before the great Parthian victory.
