Exemplaire sur un flan large et ovale, bien centré, mais un peu court sur la légende de revers avec les grènetis visibles. Beau portrait de Caracalla César. Revers inhabituel. Patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés

Commentary

Ptéryges larges sous le paludamentum. Légende pontuée en finale au revers. Ce type semble beaucoup plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux et est parfois présenté comme un hybride (BMC.). C’est la première fois que nous le présentons à la vente.
